Authentic Cultural Support & Engagement in West Arnhem
Community-led guidance, training, and logistical support for agencies, service providers, researchers, consultants and community members.
JP Cultural Solutions was created as a vital response to the lack of cultural bridges between Aboriginal and non-Aboriginal stakeholders in West Arnhem Land. We specialise in bridging the gap for service providers, agencies, consultants, researchers and the community by delivering services that are culturally safe, community-led, and grounded in local lore, protocols and kinship structures. Whether you are seeking immersive Cultural Awareness Training, locally guided Aboriginal Community Engagement, or dedicated coordination for Funerals and Ceremonies, we offer trusted guidance designed to foster respect and clear communication across the West Arnhem region, specifically in the Maningrida region.
What We Do
Cultural Awareness Training-Cultural Introduction into Maningrida & Surrounding Homelands
Local Aborginal–led Cultural Awareness Training for Maningrida and surrounding homelands, this immersive Day 1 program provides stakeholders with practical, place-based understanding of local history, demographics, kinship systems, songlines, spirituality, cultural roles, communication practices, and traditional ceremonies, alongside insight into contemporary community life and challenges. Participants are taken on Country through a guided township tour, including culturally significant sites such as the Djomi Museum and Arts Centre, to build genuine understanding of place, people, and protocols. The training strengthens culturally safe engagement, improves operational awareness, and supports respectful, effective relationships when working in Maningrida and homelands
ACES-Aboriginal Community Engagement Services
Expert cultural and language brokerage for visiting service providers, consultants, researchers and local agencies. We assist with meeting organisation, transport logistics, delivering trainings, and on-the-ground cultural advice.
Funerals & Ceremonies Services
Dedicated coordination for West Arnhem cultural events, particularly in the Maningrida & Homelands region. This includes funerals and traditional ceremonies. We support local families, especially Djunguys and cultural leaders of ceremonies by liaising with agencies, managing logistics, and securing vital resources.
"Delivering cultural services in a way that is culturally safe, community-led, and grounded in local languages and kinship structures."
About Us
For over 25 years, founder Jacqueline Phillips provided cultural guidance, family support, and helping djunguys, ceremony leaders and families with their ceremony coordination freely, driven by a deep respect, trust and cultural responsibilities for her community. Recognising a significant gap in culturally safe, community-led services in West Arnhem, Jacqueline formally established JP Cultural Solutions to ensure sustainability and create meaningful employment for local people to work in ways that honor their identity, cultural work skills & ethics, and connection to Country
