Funerals & Ceremonies Services
With the support of the Nja-marleya Cultural Leaders and Justice Group, an auspice partnership was established with JP Cultural Solutions to deliver the Remote Jobs and Economic Development (RJED) Program.
This partnership secured funding through the National Indigenous Australians Agency (NIAA), creating employment opportunities for a Cultural Coordinator and a team of 4–6 Cultural Workers.
The service supports Djunguy, cultural and ceremonial leaders, grieving families and communities by escorting them to service providers/agencies and arranging culturally appropriate coordination, logistical assistance and effective communication during Sorry Business and traditional ceremonies.
To help Djunguy leaders and ceremony leaders in:
* Assisting to communicate with Funeral Homes
* Organise logistics
* Transport Singermens & Dancers to and from cultural events
* Help Djunguys organise their ceremonies with supplies & resources
* Information sharing with agencies: cultural calender, road closurer noticies, sorry business notices, rightful djunguy contacts.

Empowering Community Through RJED Partnerships
JP Cultural Solutions proudly auspices with the Nja-marléya Cultural Leaders and Justice Group Aboriginal Organisition, to deliver NIAA-funded RJED Employment opportunity for a Funerals & Ceremonies Logistic Support Services across the Maningrida region.
Project Wins:
Successfully streamlined complex government funding.
Created meaningful local employment, funding wages for a Cultural Coordinator and Cultural Officers.
Established a highly effective centralised Cultural Event Calendar to manage resources for events, so the community, stakeholders have clearer knowledge of upcoming events in order to better plan their business.
Advancing Food Security and Indigenous Governance
In partnership with the Office of the Registrar of Indigenous Corporations (ORIC), and National Indigenous Australian Agency (NIAA), JP Cultural Solutions facilitated a targeted 3-day corporate governance training program for the Bawinanga Homelands Aboriginal Corporation and Maningrida Progress Association. Utilising a culturally safe "peers training peers" approach, this initiative focused on empowering local boards to effectively govern remote community stores, addressing vital topics like food security and long-term community planning.
Project Wins:
Successfully delivered complex training on the critical role directors play in accountability, making good decisions, and planning for a strong future in community-owned stores.
Introduced foundational education on food security to local leadership boards.
Ensured high engagement by using local facilitation, working directly to improve the social, economic, and health outcomes of the Maningrida community.
